Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena will feature resident artists Elvin Rodriguez, on the organ and piano, and Esther Kim on violin, with visiting vocal artist Anthony Leon and the Lake Chamber Symphony, on the continuing Summer Concert series this Friday, August 13, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The Summer Concert series is live on Lake Avenue Church’s YouTube channel.
Friday’s program includes symphonic works by Mozart and Mendelssohn, as well as sacred songs “Deep River” and “O, Divine Redeemer.”
A highlight of the concert will be Elvin Rodriguez performing a movement of the Rheinberger Organ Concerto on Lake’s Casavant 128-rank pipe organ with the Lake Avenue Church Chamber Symphony.
