Join Pasadena’s Lake Avenue Church at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 for a special virtual concert featuring Singers Tiffany Rivette and Darnell Abraham.
This free concert, Lake Avenue Church’s “Oh, Holy Night Christmas Concert,” is available to view on YouTube, Facebook, and the Church’s website.
The 60-minute virtual concert will feature voices and instruments from the Lake Avenue Choir, the Chapel Handbell Choir, the Lake Chamber Orchestra with Organ, and Choristers and New Song Children’s Choirs, conducted by Duane Funderburk, John Sutton, and Keith Harmel.
Funderburk, Lake Avenue Church’s co-director of worship and the arts, said more than 150 musicians are coming together for the concert.
“They’re doing some pre-recording for this event,” he said in a video announcing the event. “Our choir right now is doing virtual choir recordings. They can be part of this event. Our handbells have already been recorded in the front porch of the director’s house.”
Aside from vocalists Abraham and Rivette, violinist Esther Kim will also be part of the concert.
