Pasadena’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department will be opening Aztec Dance classes on Wednesday, January 19, 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Washington STEAM Multilingual Academy, located at 1505 N. Marengo Ave.
The classes continue on through Feb. 23.
Open for all ages, the dance workshops are an opportunity to learn traditional Aztec dance steps, movement. drum rhythms, and songs, and participate for free. Lessons start with basic movements and then progress to choreographed dance steps.
All classes are accompanied by live Aztec drumming. This class combines youth and adult instruction.
