Fans going to the Rose Bowl Game on Saturday, January 1, can sample some plant-based “chicken wings” as they enter the gates for Fan Fest 2022, the Rose Bowl pre-game event.
LikeMeat, a LiveKindly Collective brand, is offering free samples of its brand-new Like Chick’n Wings, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rose Bowl, where the Utah Utes play against the Ohio Buckeyes. Kick-off is at 2 p.m.
For game fans, LikeMeat is setting up a custom “greenhouse” for tailgaters to walk through as they sample the company’s newly introduced products, which LikeMeat says are as crispy and saucy as real chicken wings.
“We’re so excited to be a part of the Rose Bowl festivities this year and look forward to letting the Like Chick’n Wings speak for themselves during our sampling event,” Emily Klooster, LikeMeat VP of Marketing, said. “Football and wings are birds of a feather that flock together, so we know Rose Bowl attendees are going to love the authentic look, feel, taste, crackle and sauce we’ll be serving up. They won’t be able to miss us in our sampling greenhouse which quite literally celebrates our love of all things plant-based.”
Gluten-free, certified plant-based, and made with non-GMO ingredients, Like Chick’n Wings also feature a pouch of vegan buffalo sauce in every pack, the company said.
Other LikeMeat products include Like BBQ Chick’n, Like Chick’n Pieces, Like Chick’n Nuggets, and Like Grilled Chick’n. They’re now available for purchase at Sprouts Farmers Market locations throughout the U.S. and will be rolling out to additional retailers early in 2022.
