Published on Jun 7, 2021

The Rotary Club of Pasadena is hosting a half-dozen local theater directors next week for an online panel discussion about how they managed to keep their organizations alive during the 15-month-long pandemic.

The meeting will take place online at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Rotary Club. It will be free and open to the public.

“The City of Pasadena is home to top-notch theater companies. Each contributes to the community’s rich culture, adds to the economic vitality of the region, and highlights the city as an arts and culture leader,” the Rotary Club said in a written statement.

“When the pandemic forced three of our premiere theater companies to rethink the ways they accomplish their missions, what came next was a creative revisioning of their artistic voice and a redefinition of their importance to the cultural landscape of our community,” the statement said.

The panel will include A Noise Within producing artistic directors Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, Boston Court Artistic Director Jessica Kubzansky, Parson’s Nose Theater’s Producing Artistic Director Lance Davis and Pasadena Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Danny Feldman.

Rotary Club of Pasadena Immediate Past President Scott Vandrick will lead the discussion.

Those interested in joining in the forum were asked to RSVP via email to office@pasadenarotary.com.

The meeting will take place via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84583324183?pwd=R3p1bEtTWHp4R0FjLy82VlFKR0x3Zz09, with Meeting ID 845 8332 4183 and Passcode 073016.
