Looking Ahead to the Past Action Heroes Concert

Published on Aug 13, 2021

The Bandshell at Memorial Park in Pasadena is coming back to life on Saturday, August 21, with a free summer concert featuring your favorite 80s and 90s songs performed by Past Action Heroes.

Organized by the City of Pasadena’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, the concert will also feature an 80s outfit contest. Just be sure to arrive early so you can join in the fun.

To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, face masks are recommended. Groups will be seated six feet apart. If you are sick, please stay home even if your symptoms are mild.

Past Action Heroes are so-called because band members dress in costumes reminiscent of the action heroes of 80s and 90s TV, such as “MacGyver,” Michael Knight of “Night Rider,” “Magnum P.I” and various other icons.

The band has been performing throughout Southern California and is in demand for their spot-on musical renditions that offer a humorous take on hit music from the decades of Reagan and Clinton. Reviews from past clients describe how the band is able to adapt to the occasion, and get everyone dancing, “even people who never dance at parties.”
