First United Methodist Church’s monthly concert series, Third@First, continues with an organ concert presented by the church’s organist, Aaron Shows, on Saturday, February 20, 2021, streamed on the church’s YouTube channel at 4:00 p.m. The concert is free and will remain available for viewing after the concert time.
Aaron Shows is a composer, organist, and pianist originally from Montgomery, Alabama. He has performed in both the United States and Europe and is currently the organist at First United Methodist Church in Pasadena. His original works have been performed throughout the United States as well as in Europe, and his solo organ works are published through Augsburg Fortress Publishers in Minneapolis. He has composed original scores for both feature and short films, as well as for web series and commercials. He holds an MFA in Film Music Composition from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and a BFA in Church Music from Shenandoah University.
First United Methodist Church is located at 500 E. Colorado Blvd, in the Playhouse Village of Pasadena.
