Pasadena Jaycees Golf Tournament Fundraises for Group’s Long-Standing History of Community Projects

Published on Oct 2, 2021

The Pasadena Jaycees Golf Tournament returns to Brookside Golf Club on Wednesday, October 6, to benefit the Jaycees’ long-standing community service projects.

The first tee time begins at Brookside at 10 a.m., and the reception opens at 6 p.m. at the nearby La Casita Arroyo.

Proceeds from the tournament go directly toward the Pasadena Jaycees’ community service projects, including Operation Gobbler and Operation Santa.

Operation Gobbler is a Thanksgiving food drive, where the Jaycees provide low-income families with ingredients for a Thanksgiving meal in partnership with Friends in Deed.

Operation Santa, the Jaycees’ largest and longest-standing project, has been serving Pasadena children in need since 1934. Local children write letters to Santa, and the Jaycees send Santa and Mrs. Claus with toys to the homes of each child on Christmas Eve.

Through these projects, the Jaycees typically feed over 300 families and provide toys to approximately 3,000 children.

The event on Wednesday will also include a silent auction, on-course activities, and giveaways.
