Pasadena Pro Musica to Celebrate American Poets in Long-Delayed Concert

Pasadena Pro Musica is finally able to hold its “Celebrating American Poets” concert  on Sunday, March 20, starting at 4 p.m. at Neighborhood Unitarian Church, located at 301 N. Orange Grove Blvd. in Pasadena.

The concert was originally prepared for March 2020. Inspired by great American poets, the concert will include works by Eric Whitacre, Ola Gjeilo and Donna Gartman Schultz, among others and will feature texts by Langston Hughes, Emily Dickinson, E.E. Cummings and other poets.

Tickets are $20 General Admission. Student Rush Tickets are $5 and will be sold 10 minutes before the concert begins. Student IDs will be required. Children 10 and under are free.

To comply with COVID-19 spacing recommendations, seating will be restricted to 100 persons. Face masks will be required during the performance and the singers will be wearing masks. All singers have been required to show proof of vaccination and audience members are strongly encouraged to do the same.

Parking may be in the Neighborhood Church parking lot or on Orange Grove Blvd. or Walnut Street. Parking is not allowed on Arroyo Terrace, the small street that runs alongside the church.
