Burned homes, heavy hearts, displaced families and the loss of treasured belongings—including musical instruments—continue to weigh heavily on the community.

Next Sunday, March 16, at 4 p.m., Lake Avenue Church will transform into a haven for renewal and hope with “Songs of Renewal: A Fire Relief Benefit Concert.”

Admission will be free; all donations from the event will be used for the renewal and rebuilding of our community.

At the heart of the event is the Lake Chamber Symphony, an ensemble known for its engaging performances of classical, Broadway and sacred music. They will be joined by guest artist Yue Yin, whose presence enhances the evening’s emotional depth. The program’s selections have been carefully curated to provide comfort and a sense of solidarity in the wake of tragedy.

In response to the Eaton Fire, Lake Avenue Church organized this concert as both a fundraiser and a gathering of support for those most affected.

“All donations from the event will be used for the renewal and rebuilding of our community,” said Sally Christopher, event coordinator. “This is our way of helping those who lost so much—not just homes, but also the instruments and resources that gave them joy.”

Pasadena and Altadena have long history of responding to crises with collective action, and this concert stands as a reflection of that resilience.
