The Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library’s Restoration Concert Series continues on Sunday, May 8, featuring pianist Robert Thies.

The concert begins at 4 p.m. in the Library Community Room.

Robert Thies is an artist renowned for his consummate musicianship and poetic temperament. In 1995, Thies first captured worldwide attention when he won the Gold Medal at the Second International Prokofiev Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia. Thies enjoys a diverse career as an orchestral soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician. He has already performed 40 concerts with orchestras all over the world.

A dedicated chamber musician, Thies is highly sought after as a collaborator, and he has shared the stage with many esteemed musicians, including those from the LA Philharmonic and the LA Chamber Orchestra.

For this in-person event, proof of COVID-19 vaccination and valid identification must be shown at the door and masks must be worn at all times.
