The Rotary Club of Altadena, in association with the Sheriff’s Support Group of Altadena, presents the 24th annual free Summer Concerts from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturdays in the community’s beautiful outdoor amphitheater in Farnsworth Park.

This year the concert, which will be live and in-person, will feature Psychedelic Summer, Southern California’s Woodstock-era tribute band. The band recreates the vibe and music that epitomized the music scene of the late 1960s to late ’70s, with songs by Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Sly and the Family Stone, Buffalo Springfield, The Beatles, The Doors, CSNY, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Steppenwolf.

“We leave no stone unturned — we even do Stones, too!” the band says on its website.

Psychedelic Summer consists of Colette Lovejoy (lead vocals), Jerry Breiner (guitar, keyboards and vocals), Chris Longo (bass, vocals) and Brad Strickland (guitar and vocals).

The Summer Concert Series is supported by Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, MonteCedro Senior Living, Morgan Stanley, Farnsworth Park, Linda Seyffert and Associates, Dr. David Campbell, DDS, the Altadena Library District, the Altadena Town and Country Club, Altadena Neighbors Magazine, El Patron Mexican Food Restaurant, and Riedon Inc.

El Patron Mexican Food Restaurant will be cooking and selling food at the top of the Amphitheater, and The Rotary Club of Altadena will be selling beer and wine from the ground floor of the Davies Building throughout the entire Summer Concert Series.

The Rotary Club will be following guidelines from the Los Angeles Department of Public Health.

Additional information can be found at www.altadenarotary.org and http://publichealth.lacounty.gov/media/coronavirus/docs/protocols/Reopening_LiveOutdoorEvents.pdf.

These concerts are free to attend.
