AktiveNLA LLC is hosting a Rose Cup Exotic Dog Show and Day Party on Sunday, October 10, 4 to 8 p.m., at The World Famous Coin Academy in Pasadena.
“It’s an exotic dog show consisting of French bulldogs, exotic bullies, and many English bulldogs,” Shawn Watkins, CEO of AktiveNLA, said. “There will be a show in which contestants will win first, second and third prize trophies along with medals and certificates.”
Watkins said this is going to be the first annual Rose Cup for big pet lovers.
“I know the Cat Convention does well out here every year,” Watkins said. “These kinds of events kind of take care of themselves just for the love of animals.”
Categories in the competition include the best male, the best female, and the best puppy. The first place winner receives the Gold Cup, Watkins said. The second placers receive a placard, and the third gets a certificate.
All winners also get a bouquet of roses.
Music will be provided by a guest DJ, and gourmet trucks will be on site.
Entry to the event is $25 for VIP tickets, $15 General admission, and $10 per dog. Kids 10 and up are $7 and those under 10 are free, Watkins said.
The venue is at 755 E. Washington Blvd. in Pasadena.
