Service Clubs: Pasadena Water Official Eric Klinker Drills Down on Water and Electric Shortages at Upcoming Rotary Meeting

Eric Klinker, Deputy General Manager at Pasadena Water and Power (PWP), will be speaking about “Water and Electric Shortages: Similar Challenges, Similar Solutions” at the Pasadena Rotary Club’s weekly meeting on Wednesday, September 8, starting at 12 noon.

The meeting is open to the public in person at the University Club of Pasadena and is also carried live on Zoom.

Eric Klinker has worked in the utility industry since 1992 and his range of experience includes power supply, electrification and conservation programs, marketing, water system management, and environmental and strategic policy development.

A licensed professional engineer, Klinker earned his master’s degree in mechanical engineering at CSU Northridge. He completed the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

Klinker started his professional career at Rocketdyne working on the Space Shuttle’s main engines. In 1992, he took a position at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power supporting power resource planning.

He has been with PWP since 1995 and has served as Power Supply Assistant at PWP, Assistant General Manager, Interim AGM of the Water Division, and Interim General Manager. He is responsible for customer relations and regulatory or legislative Affairs, acts on behalf of the General Manager, and provides leadership for many strategic enterprise initiatives.
