Sip, Savor, and Celebrate! No Better Place to Be Sunday Than Masters of Taste at the Rose Bowl

More than 3,000 food and beverage enthusiasts will stroll the 50-yard line of the Rose Bowl for the 6th Annual Masters of Taste Sunday
Published on Apr 2, 2023

Foodies and beverage enthusiasts from across Southern California will converge on the iconic field of the Rose Bowl in Pasadena for the 6th Annual Masters of Taste festival Sunday afternoon on a gorgeous Spring day.

With over 3,000 guests expected to attend, the festival promises to be a day of indulgence and deliciousness.

The event will feature the finest offerings from L.A.’s top culinary, beverage, and sweet masters. Attendees will be able to stroll the 50-yard line of the Rose Bowl while feasting on delectable bites from over 100 culinary masters and restaurants, sipping signature cocktails from L.A.’s best mixologists, and sampling some of California’s most eclectic wineries and breweries.

Host Chef Michael Reed and Kwini Reed, the owners of popular L.A. restaurants Poppy + Rose and Poppy + Seed, will be on hand to welcome guests. They will be joined by past participants such as 2022 Host Chef Vanda Asapahu of Ayara Thai, 2019 Host Chef Michael Hung, and Michelin Star Chef Jon Yao of Kato, among many others.

But Masters of Taste is not just a food and drink festival.

100% of the proceeds from the event will directly benefit Union Station Homeless Services, a non-profit organization currently celebrating 50 years of providing homeless services and housing for thousands of neighbors. As the lead County agency for Service Planning Area 3 (SPA 3), Union Station coordinates homeless services in 36 communities spanning from Pasadena to Pomona. Recently expanding into El Sereno and Eagle Rock, Union Station works with unsheltered and very low-income adults and families across the San Gabriel Valley.

In the last five years, Masters of Taste has raised over $2.7 Million in support of Union Station Homeless Services’ life-saving programs. This year’s festival is expected to be just as successful, with all proceeds going towards the organization’s mission to provide permanent solutions to end homelessness and rebuild lives.

For those lucky enough to secure a VIP ticket, the festival will offer exclusive tastings, access to VIP lounges and seating, and early admission. But even general admission guests will be treated to unlimited tastings from LA’s top Master Chefs and restaurants, craft cocktail bars, wineries, and local breweries. The event is strictly for ages 21 and over, with general admission running from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

But even if you can’t make it to the festival, there is still a chance to win some fantastic prizes through the exclusive raffle. From gift cards to top restaurants across Southern California to bottles of wine, cookbooks, charcuterie boards, and more, the raffle offers a chance to experience the best of LA’s culinary scene.
