No one ever goes hungry at Slater’s 50/50. The distinctive chain, with locations in California, Nevada, Colorado, Texas, and Hawaii, features, as its foundation, towering burgers built from patties of beef and bacon.

I know, right?

Everything you can imagine, from peanut butter and jelly to Fritos and chili, as well as a whole grilled cheese sandwich, has been stuffed into a Slater’s burger, with dramatic results.

Let’s just leave it there, shall we?

And now, just in time for Lent, Slater’s has introduced its new Fish and Chips Burger, in time for Lent that will be available through April 4th at the San Diego, Pasadena and Valencia locations.

We know it’s Lent, but you won’t be giving up much, actually.

The Fish and Chips Burger is made with a half-pound of IPA beer-battered Atlantic cod on top of a foothill of house-made waffle chips, pickles, malt vinegar slaw and made-from-scratch tartar sauce.

And Pasadena is the only local Slater’s featuring the creation, beginning next week, through March 14.

We’ll be visiting the spot soon to see for ourselves. You might want to cast your nets soon, as well.

Outdoor dining. Pick up and the usual delivery services. You know the drill.

Slater’s 50/50 Pasadena is at 61 N Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA. slaters5050.com
