Join the First United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, for a special Christmas Eve service.

There will be two different services that night, both being live-streamed via YouTube.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all worship activities at th church are conducted via live stream, and all other Sunday programming is canceled until further notice.

This year’s Christmas Eve worship services will be live at the listed times but will be available on YouTube afterwards to view at whatever time is convenient. The links to the services, along with the bulletins and other supporting material, will be emailed on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

At 5 p.m. Thursday, families are invited to join in the story of Jesus’ birth through this family-friendly service which includes music and leadership by children and youth, carol singing and candlelight. Make some hot chocolate, grab something to nibble on, and prepare to light your own candle for the closing of the service.

The Candlelight Service at 11 p.m. will include music, a brief meditation and celebration of Holy Communion. Church staff will light the Christ candle in the middle of the Advent wreath, and you can light your own candles at the end of the service. Get your communion elements ready and join the live stream in celebrating God’s gift of Love.

To watch the live stream, go to www.youtube.com/c/FirstUnitedMethodistChurchPasadena/channels on Christmas Eve.
