As the end of the long pandemic begins to look real, we find ourselves right where we were this week two years ago, as the world began to shut down.
We’re sure you can find a place to gather safely and celebrate with your friends this year, and we’ll continue to update this list this week through the weekend (call it St. Patrick’s Season), so here’s a tiny handful of spots you can Go to Erin your Bragh.
Matt Denny’s
It will be going on all day long at Matt Denny’s Ale House. It begins at 3:30 p.m. with The Bash for some dance, R&B and Latin Rock. At 7 p.m. it’s The Nackers for some traditional Irish folk music for the rest of the evening.

Green at Griffin’s
Wanna really feel Irish? You’re gonna need a fiddle. Michael Kelly will be at Griffins of Kinsale on St Patrick’s Day for some serious Irish Fiddle and vocals in South Pasadena.

You might want to come early since they’re gonna be open for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with more music by The Drive, Crimson Crowbar, and Howl & Wake, until they close.

Green Swing
MARCH 12: Senior Center St. Patrick’s Day Swing Band Concert. Open to members & non-members. It’s a festive St. Patrick’s Day-themed concert with the Great American Swing Band.
According to our neighbors at the Pasadena Senior Center, “You don’t need to be wearing green to feel the luck of the Irish listening and dancing to favorites from the Big Band era and beyond.”
Light snacks will be available. This event will take place on the patio, weather permitting. In case of rain, we will move indoors. Reservations are suggested. Free for Members. $5 for Non-Members.
Randy’s Donuts

At the Yard House
Yard House’s St. Patrick’s Day celebration is going with draft pours of fresh Guinness or perhaps you would prefer a choice of Yard House’s House beers—House Honey Blonde Ale, House IPA or House Cuvee. There’s also a Dublin Mule with Jameson Irish Whiskey, Guinness Dry Irish Stout, citrus agave & ginger ale; and green beers with more than 100 on-tap.

St. Patricks Day at the Mixx
Join us this St. Patty’s Day for a fun-filled and FREE Green party! $5 Green Beer and Jameson Shots. Party music with DJ Frog, “one of the greatest vinyl mix masters in Los Angeles.” There’s also gonna be a St Patricks’ Day film on their giant LED Wall.
