Have you ever dreamed of starting your own magazine? Well, now is the chance to get started on that dream with this virtual Zine Workshop from Altadena Library on Saturday, Jan. 16.

Participants will join Sophia Zarders as she dives into the ins and outs of what makes a magazine possible.

Sanders is an illustrator, comic artist, and pop culture queen based in Long Beach. Her work deals with race, gender, and pop culture, and has been influenced by religious iconography, art history, cult films, social activism and divas.

Sanders’s artwork has been exhibited around the world, and her zines have been tabled at zine fests.

Learn more about Sanders at www.sophiazarders.com.

All ages are welcome to this Instagram event on the Altadena Libraries page @AltadenaZineLibrary. Sanders will lead you through DIY and crafting, literature and poetry, workshops and classes.
