ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena invites you to their virtual graduation on Saturday, December 19, at 10 a.m.
During this graduation, the college will also honor four alums with their respected awards. The Valedictorian award will be given to Erin Hill, Graphic Design; the Student Leadership Award will go to Abigail Dergazarian, Graphic Design; and ArtCenter Honors will be awarded to Ashley Alexander, Photography and Imaging, and to Rhema Gabriela, Advertising.
In addition, ArtCenter will also give the ArtCenter Alumni Awards to outstanding alumni who are recognized for their talent, service and creative contributions to the community. The Alumni Awards are an annual recognition bestowed by the College and the Office of Alumni Relations, with input from the internal ArtCenter community and global alumni community.
This year’s Alumni Awards will be given to Parker Kuncl (MFA 2009) as Young Innovator; Allison Goodman (MFA 1995) for Outstanding Service; Melodie McDaniel (BFA 1991), for Distinguished Mid-Career; and to Lee Friedlander, who gets the Lifetime Achievement award.
Following the ceremony, ArtCenter is hosting a virtual version of Grad Show, inviting graduating students to connect with friends, family and the ArtCenter community online.
The Grad Show website features individual pages for each graduating student to showcase their work, schedule Zoom meetings and receive “scribble” messages from visitors. The site will be available well past this Saturday for the entire art and design community, friends and family to view the inspiring work and connect with graduates.
