‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ Screens at Boston Court Theater

Boston Court Pasadena presents “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” on NT (National Theatre) Live, bringing the best of British theater to cinema screens around the world, on Friday, Oct 15. Tihe tme will be announced later.

“The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time”  is based on the 2003 novel by Mark Haddon, adapted for theater by Simon Stephens. The play is the National Theatre’s Olivier and Tony Award-winning production directed by Marianne Elliott.

In the story, Christopher, 15 years old, stands beside Mrs Shears’ dead dog. It has been speared with a garden fork, it is seven minutes after midnight and Christopher is under suspicion. He records each fact in the book he is writing to solve the mystery of who murdered Wellington. He has an extraordinary brain, exceptional at math while ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. He has never ventured alone beyond the end of his road. He detests being touched and he distrusts strangers. But his detective work, forbidden by his father, takes him on a frightening journey that upturns his world.

This is an in-person event. All tickets must be purchased in advance. No walk-up sales will be provided.

Inside the theater, all screenings will be socially distanced with only 50% capacity. Masks or face coverings are still required for all audience members and staff. Audience members will also be required to show proof of vaccination and a photo ID, and everyone entering the building will be required to undergo a symptom and temperature check.

The parking lot at Boston Court Pasadena and lobby will open one hour prior to curtain. Guests are advised to consider arriving early and grabbing a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants nearby.
