‘The Next Stage’ to Gather Visionary Leaders in Arts and Entertainment in Pasadena

Published on Jan 5, 2022

“The Next Stage,” the premier gathering of visionary leaders in immersive and experiential arts and entertainment, will launch Friday, January 7, 9 to 6 p.m. at the Pasadena Playhouse.

Part summit and part mini-festival, The Next Stage, presented by Immersive Experience Institute, invites creators and visionaries from around the world and across diverse fields – from themed entertainment to augmented and virtual reality, immersive theater, experiential marketing, and location-based entertainment – to share their insight and work with each other.

Experts from those fields will be on hand to connect with the emerging leaders in the emerging entertainment experience economy.

Some of the spotlight sessions will include talks from Jonny Grant, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Dept. Studios, Sarah Ellis, Director of Digital Development at the Royal Shakespeare Company; creative leaders at Meow Wolf who will discuss Denver’s Convergence Station, artist Risa Puno, the creators of the award-winning augmented reality piece honoring Breonna Taylor called “Breonna’s Garden;” forward-thinking technologist Asad J. Malik, CEO of Web3 AR pioneers Jadu; and themed entertainment wizards from Walt Disney Imagineering.

Over 30 sessions and 10 festival selections will occur over three days and nights. An intimate event, only 200 General Admission badges will be available for purchase. Three-day badges are now on sale at www.immersiveexperience.org/badges-2022.  Badges grant access to Town Hall and all spotlight sessions, talks, panels, firesides, and salons, subject to room capacity.

Badges guarantee one Mini-Festival selection. Every effort will be made to provide badge holders with their first choice. Some experiences will have standby capacity.
