Theatre Americana presents “Broadway’s In Town, and She’s Dazzling” at the Lineage Performing Arts Center in Pasadena. Theatre Americana is proud to bring a Broadway revue to your neighborhood. Featuring Drew Tretick, violist virtuoso. A classically trained violinist and graduate of the renowned Julliard School in New York City, Drew Tretick has appeared with Andrea Bocelli, Mike Garson (David Bowie’s legendary pianist), Elton John, Stevie Wonder, the late John Denver, and many others. The Doo Drops perform live music from “Motown, the Musical” & “Beautiful”. Introducing Sylvia Boyd as Tina Turner. Excerpts from Chicago, Phantom, J.C. Superstar, Evan Hanson, Les Mis, Westside Story and many, many more will be presented by vocalists who express their voice using a never-ending spectrum of colours, sounds and nuances.
Musical Director Steven Applegate brings his years of experience and expertise to prepare the cast and accompany some of the artists in their musical arrangements. Choreographer Arlene Santos, Lumina Dance Academy in Pasadena, takes her dancers to the stage for Westside Story’s America and Mambo. Sylvia Boyd will bring down the house with her performance based on a vocal legend.
