The Salastina Music Society, a charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing classical concerts to communities throughout Southern California, will hold its “Happy Hour No. 51: Anniversary Year in Review” on Zoom and YouTube from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 6.

This episode will be a look back at a year full of Happy Hours. Participation is free.

Salastina Music Society was founded by violinists Kevin Kumar and Maia Jasper White, who continue to direct the series. The group’s roster of members consists of resident artists and special guests.

Every Tuesday since April 7, 2020, Salastina has been producing these free, weekly Happy Hours on Zoom. Each Happy Hour features musical performances, a peek behind the creative curtain, and personal interaction with musicians and fellow music lovers.

“We’ve been delighted by the community built by these events, and have committed to holding them indefinitely,” the group said on its website.

Since June, Salastina musicians and young artists have performed private, virtual bedside concerts for patients, their families, and medical staff in UCLA’s ICU. For more about that program, visit www.salastina.org/vital-sounds.

Happy Hour regularly takes place from 6 to 7 p.m., although they occasionally adjust times to accommodate the time zones of special guests around the world.

To enjoy optimal sound quality, you may listen on YouTube Live, with instructions available through www.salastina.org/youtube-live.

To avoid the dreaded Zoom Bombings, you must have a free Zoom account and RSVP for the event through https://salastina-org.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJ0kf-qtqz4oGdEUsPXDysdPs27Rk-JSFk5I.

Salastina Music Society members get early access at 5:30 p.m.
