USC Trojan Affiliates Announce Holiday Boutique and Scholars Dinner

General public are invited to shop from 4 to 7 p.m. at the boutique on Thursday, Nov. 17 at the Altadena Town and Country Club.

The USC Trojan Affiliates, a philanthropic and social women’s alumnae group at of the University of Southern California (USC), are hosting their upcoming Holiday Boutique and meeting for alumni and friends on Thursday, Nov. 17 at the Altadena Town and Country Club, at 2290 Country Club Drive in Altadena.

Guests are welcome to attend the Holiday Boutique and the Scholarship Dinner Meeting.

The sixth annual Holiday Boutique will feature a variety of 13 unique vendors and have items for all ages. 

Vendors that have registered to be there include Designs by Ronnelle, HazelBags, Mermaid Art, Lavender Blue, Lugenia’s Divas, Essence Boutique, Peg Board Highway, Pam’s Cookies and Cakes, Trojan Guild of Los Angeles, Trojan League of the Valley, Travelers Boutique, and the Sierra Madre Collective Coop.

“Our members, their family and friends along with the general public are invited to shop from 4 to 7 p.m. at the boutique,” Ann Palmer, President of the USC Trojan Affiliates, said.

“At the same time everyone will be able to purchase opportunity tickets in the hopes of winning one of the 28 creative gift baskets donated by our members.”

A percentage of the vendor sales goes toward the Trojan Affiliates Scholarship Fund, which helps support Trojan Affiliates scholars, who are worthy students pursuing their educational advancement at USC.

At about 7 p.m., guests will meet the Trojan Affiliates Scholarship recipients as they share their experiences as USC students at the Scholars’ Dinner.

“Over 120 guests will get to hear from our 10 scholarship recipients when they step up to the podium and talk about their USC experience, plans for the future, etc.,” Palmer said. 

“It is a beautiful evening dedicated to celebrating our scholars. This evening isn’t the only time our members get to meet and interact with our scholars. If their schedules permit, they volunteer to help us sell our products at USC’s Homecoming and they are invited to volunteer at the Trojan Affiliates USC Day of Service.”

The USC Trojan Affiliates and student volunteers will be serving at the Pasadena-based Families Forward, planting seedlings and maintaining the garden on the Pasadena High School campus on March 11, 2023, the USC Alumni Day of Service.

“The USC Trojan Affiliates serve to foster a spirit of friendship, loyalty, and cooperation with USC, to develop and sustain a successful fundraising project in order to provide scholarships for USC students and contribute to the advancement of education.”

The USC Trojan Affiliates, which was founded in 1966, is part of the USC Alumni group called the Alumni Coordinating Council, made up of 12 Affinity Groups throughout Southern California.
