Blair High School Choir Joins 1,200 Student Voices at Walt Disney Concert Hall

Blair High School’s Advanced Choir from Pasadena joined more than 1,200 student vocalists from schools across Southern California for an unforgettable performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall during the 37th Annual High School Choir Festival presented by the Los Angeles Master Chorale. The annual event brought together young singers from dozens of high schools for a large-scale collaborative concert celebrating music, education, and artistic unity.
Under the direction of Los Angeles Master Chorale Artistic Director Grant Gershon and guest conductor Cindy Ellis, students spent the day rehearsing and performing a varied choral program that featured works from different musical traditions and time periods. Singing alongside fellow student performers in one of the world’s most renowned concert venues gave participants the opportunity to experience the energy and discipline of a professional-level choral production while building connections through music.
The festival also served as a tribute to celebrated architect Frank Gehry, whose innovative design of Walt Disney Concert Hall has become a landmark of Los Angeles arts and culture. For Blair students, the performance was both an artistic achievement and a meaningful reminder of how music can bring communities together. The longstanding festival continues to highlight the importance of arts education by giving young performers the chance to collaborate, learn from professional musicians, and share their talents on a grand stage.
