Celebrating Excellence at the McKinley 2026 African American History Bee

Students at McKinley School of the Arts demonstrated exceptional knowledge, passion, and dedication during the 2026 African American History Bee, held at the McKinley Library on Friday, March 20. The event brought together a group of talented participants who showcased their understanding of African American history through an engaging and competitive academic experience.

Top honors were awarded to Raja Cunnathur Dinakaran and Valeria Hernandez Martinez, who earned first place with their outstanding performance. Eddie McFadden secured second place, while Ursula Aryal and Melanie Chavez Alvarez shared third place, each displaying impressive depth of knowledge and critical thinking.
