City of Pasadena Honors Retired Rose City High Principal Dr. Michael Bell



Dr. Michael Bell, the recently retired principal of Rose City High School, was recognized at a recent Pasadena City Council meeting for his outstanding contributions to public education and unwavering dedication to the community.

A proud product of the Pasadena Unified School District himself, Dr. Bell was born and raised in Pasadena and attended PUSD schools as a student. He went on to dedicate his career to serving students in the very community that shaped him. Over the decades, Dr. Bell held numerous leadership roles across the district, consistently championing equity, access, and opportunity for all learners.

At Rose City High School, Dr. Bell was known for his calm leadership, deep compassion, and relentless commitment to giving every student a second chance at success. His tenure left a lasting impact not only on the students and staff but also on the broader Pasadena community.
