Immaculate Heart Middle & High School Prepares to Welcome Students Back for Its 121st School Year

Immaculate Heart Middle & High School will proudly welcome students back to campus on Wednesday, August 12, beginning its 121st school year of academic excellence, faith formation, leadership, and service.

Building on the momentum of an exciting 120th anniversary year, Immaculate Heart enters the new school year with continued energy and optimism. Last year, the school celebrated several significant milestones, including the Soccer team capturing the CIF Southern Section D4 Championship, the launch of its inaugural Flag Football program, the introduction of AP African American Studies, and student travel to Italy, Iceland, and more, further expanding opportunities for students to pursue their passions while engaging in rigorous college prep academics.

“Each new school year is an opportunity to honor our rich tradition while embracing new possibilities,” said Maureen Diekmann, school president. “As we begin our 121st year, we remain deeply committed to developing women of great heart and right conscience who are prepared to lead with courage and compassion, in college and beyond.”

Located adjacent to Griffith Park in Los Feliz, Immaculate Heart serves girls in grades 6 through 12 with a college preparatory curriculum that emphasizes academic excellence, creativity, social justice, spiritual growth, and leadership. From championship athletics and award-winning arts programs to innovative STEM opportunities and meaningful service learning, students are encouraged to discover their voices and make a lasting impact in their communities.

Families interested in learning more about Immaculate Heart are invited to attend the school’s annual All-School Open House on Sunday, September 27, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to tour the campus, meet faculty, students, coaches, and administrators, explore academic and extracurricular programs, and experience firsthand the welcoming community that has defined Immaculate Heart for more than a century.
