First Graders at Alverno Heights Academy Explore Cultures Through Their Taste Buds

The classroom came alive with new tastes and joyful discovery as the children tried tangy fruit sprinkled with Tajín, a staple spice blend in Mexican cuisine known for its unique citrus-chili flavor. They followed it up with classic pumpkin pie, a beloved treat in American holiday traditions, and even twirled their forks through freshly made homemade pasta, introducing them to flavors rooted in Italian culinary heritage.
