Flintridge Prep’s Eighth Grade Students Visits the Museum of Tolerance

Flintridge Preparatory School’s (FPS)’ Eighth grade students from Ms. Cooper’s history class and Ms. Burton’s English class visited the Museum of Tolerance. The field trip centered on themes of taking action to make an impact and was inspired by work students have been doing in their classes. Ms. Cooper’s students recently discussed government power and constitutions, and Ms. Burton’s students read George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” this quarter and hosted small group presentations on Elie Wiesel’s “Night” during last week’s Community Block. Each semester, multiple faculty travel with their students to various off-campus locations, turning Los Angeles into their very own classroom!
