Former SPMS Librarian and Writer/Poet Betsy Kahn Leads Writer’s Workshop for Students

Students at South Pasadena Middle School (SPMS) were given an opportunity to meet with writer/poet and former SPMS Librarian Betsy Kahn in a special Writer’s Workshop during a double lunch break in the library’s Quiet Room on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Initiated by the SPMS Writer’s Club president Lila Golden, the event featured class-wide and small group discussions about “why we write”, where to find inspiration, and best practices to help students find their individual writing voice. Students shared how they get their ideas and enjoyed the company of like-minded peers.
