FSHA Students Take on Space Academy Challenge

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, a school committed to providing a strong STEM education, is proud to have eight students representing three teams in the International Sister Cities Space Academy in partnership with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The student teams are currently designing launch systems, building prototypes, and conducting test launches as they work through the engineering process. Each stage provides valuable opportunities to learn from design failures, make revisions, modify components, and develop new designs and prototypes.

Through hands-on experimentation and problem-solving, the students are gaining practical experience in engineering, teamwork, and innovation. Their work also demonstrates the importance of persistence and adaptability when developing solutions to complex challenges. The school community looks forward to seeing what the teams accomplish during their first official test launch later this month.
