Holy Family School: Discovering God’s Design Through the Five Senses
In Holy Family School’s kindergarten science class, students are joyfully discovering God’s amazing design through an exploration of the five senses. During a recent hands-on lesson focused on the sense of smell, young learners took part in a delightful “Guess the Mystery Scent” activity that sparked curiosity and excitement.
Using safe, familiar scents such as orange, apple, peppermint, and pineapple, students took turns smelling each container, making thoughtful predictions, and illustrating what they believed each scent to be. Along the way, they shared their ideas with classmates, expanded their vocabulary, and practiced expressing observations while receiving gentle guidance and encouragement from their teacher. These engaging experiences nurture curiosity, creativity, and confidence, reinforcing meaningful learning in a warm, supportive, and faith-centered environment.
“At Holy Family, we are committed to forming students in the Catholic faith, grounding them in the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Our core values – FAITH, COMMUNITY, SERVICE, and EXCELLENCE – shape every classroom, every relationship, and every experience. These principles are the foundation of who we are and the mission we joyfully live each day. If you’re ready to discover all that Holy Family Catholic School has to offer, we invite you to join us for one of our two remaining school tours this January 2026. Come experience our vibrant community, meet our dedicated faculty, and see firsthand what makes Holy Family a place where students grow in faith, community, service, and excellence.”
