Immaculate Heart Varsity Soccer Advances to CIF Division 4 Finals
Immaculate Heart Middle & High School proudly announces that its Varsity Soccer Team has advanced to the CIF Southern Section Division 4 Finals, marking the first finals appearance in IH program history.
The historic playoff position was secured on Saturday, February 21, when the Pandas defeated Chino High School by a score of 2–1 in the CIF Division 4 Semifinal, capping off a strong postseason run and reflecting the team’s persistence, preparation, and collective effort throughout the season.
“This group has worked relentlessly since day one,” said Kevin Cadenas, Athletic Director and Head Coach. “Their discipline, trust in one another, and commitment to the process have been remarkable. They earned this opportunity through hard work and belief.”
Assistant Athletic Director and Coach Vanessa Rivas highlighted the team’s unity as a defining factor in their success. “This is a special team with incredible chemistry,” Rivas said. “They genuinely enjoy playing together and supporting one another, and that connection is evident every time they step on the field. Watching their growth this season has been incredibly rewarding.”
The CIF Division 4 Championship match will be hosted by Immaculate Heart on Saturday at 5:00 PM at the school’s home field at Glendale Community College. Alumnae, families, and the greater Panda community are invited to attend and cheer on the team as they compete for the title against San Jacinto High School.
This milestone achievement underscores the continued momentum of Immaculate Heart Athletics and the strength of the IH community united behind its student-athletes.
