La Salle College Prep: Show Your Support for Kohorst Field Renovation
The Board of Regents at La Salle College Preparatory approved the $500,000 Kohorst Field Renovation Project on September 28, 2022. The project seeks to replace the artificial turf on the playing field and resurface the running track. Improvements were last made to Kohorst Field twelve years ago, and the shelf-life for these improvements has long since expired.
Kohorst Field is not only the home of our football, track and field teams, and boys’ and girls’ soccer but also a venue for a number of school events. Physical education classes, pep rallies, and emergency evacuation drills all take place on the Field. It is also the site for formal events like graduation and baccalaureate services. To ensure our athletes’ safety and maintain our campus’s aesthetic, we will begin the renovation project on these facilities in the summer of 2023 before the start of the fall athletic season. The goal is to raise $500,000 before June 30, 2023, which will be the end of our current fiscal year.
