Muir–PCC Dual Enrollment Partnership Earns Statewide Recognition

Pasadena Unified School District congratulates John Muir High School Early College Magnet and Pasadena City College for being selected as Exemplary Dual Enrollment Awardees, recognizing their strong partnership in expanding college opportunities for high school students.

The recognition highlights programs that successfully allow students to earn college credit while still in high school, creating meaningful pathways to higher education. Selected by a statewide committee representing leading education organizations and practitioners, the Exemplary Dual Enrollment Award celebrates collaborations that demonstrate strong academic outcomes, equitable access to college courses, and effective support systems for students.

Through the partnership between John Muir High School and Pasadena City College, students have the opportunity to enroll in college-level courses and begin earning transferable college credits before graduating from high school. The program strengthens college readiness and helps open doors to future academic and career success for students across the school community.  For more information about California Exemplary Dual Enrollment Award, visit https://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/sr/ed/.
