Pasadena Christian School 5th Graders Visit the Reagan Library

Students had the opportunity to learn about Reagan’s legacy, see part of the Berlin Wall and many other interesting facets of Reagan’s administration.

In addition to a tour of the museum, the students were all part of a White House reenactment of Operation Urgent Fury. Operation Urgent Fury was part of President Reagan’s success in removing the medical students from Grenada in the 1980’s in light of discontent on the island.

5th graders were split into three groups: The Oval Office; The Command Decision Center; The Press Room. All three groups had to work together and made decisions as to how they thought President Reagan would have handled the situation. The students had to work together within their groups to make the correct decision.

This was an excellent learning experience that was incredibly enjoyed!
