PEF: Celebrating a Landmark Year

Last week, the Pasadena Educational Foundation (PEF) awarded more than $223,000 to 222 educators at every school in the Pasadena Unified School District.

This was the largest amount of money awarded to the largest number of educators in the 45+ year history of the Teacher Grant program, thanks to the generosity of the College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association, and our many individual donors in the community.

“Thank you to all who help make our teacher grants possible!”

PEF Teacher and School-Wide Grants will support 150 student-centered and curriculum-based projects in reading and literature, math, science and technology, world languages, arts and music, social-emotional learning, college and career preparation, sports and athletics, and more.

Teachers received their checks, certificates, and cheers from the PEF and PUSD staff in a drive-through parade on December 6.

“Great schools don’t just happen. It is the dedication of our community that makes it possible. Thank you!”
