January 8 marks one year since the Eaton and Pacific Palisades fires. For many in the Polytechnic School (Pasadena, CA) community, the impact of the fires remains deeply felt. At the same time, this anniversary reminds us of the extraordinary care, compassion, and grace that emerged from the aftermath. Our K-12 students, faculty, and staff gathered this morning to remember the immeasurable loss that was experienced and the ways we have supported each other. May we continue to lead with empathy, serve generously, and remain rooted in the values that define us as a community.
