Polytechnic’s GIA Summer Book Club: “Sex & Vanity” Featuring Author Kevin Kwan via Zoom

“Few of us will be jumping on a plane and heading to the glimmering coast of Italy or the Hamptons this summer, but if you’re willing to travel while seated in your favorite armchair GIA’s book club has the perfect read for you!”

The summer meeting will feature Crazy Rich Asians author Kevin Kwan’s fourth novel Sex & Vanity. This hilarious but complex novel (Good Morning America’s July Book Club Pick and an NYT bestseller) follows biracial protagonist Lucie Tan Churchill on her travels to Capri and East Hampton, as she desperately tries not to fall in love with the uber-rich and mysterious George Zao. It’s all the humor and glitz you loved from the Crazy Rich Asians series with a different cast of characters and stunning new landscapes. Sex & Vanity is a fascinating exploration of how a young woman finds her identity and self-value in the world.

Best of all, author Kevin Kwan will join GIA via Zoom for the book club! In conversation with Alison Singh Gee, Kevin will answer questions from the audience. Join Poly’s GIA Summer Book Club on Monday, Aug. 10 at 7:00 p.m.

Purchase Sex and Vanity from Vroman’s. You can also listen to the book on Audible.

Please register here. The Zoom link will be emailed to you a few days before the event.
