Raiders Roar – St. Rita School Claims 2025 CYO Invitational Flag Football Championship



The boys’ varsity flag football team of St. Rita School in Sierra Madre clinched the recent 2025 Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Invitational Flag Football Championship after a tight, hard-fought matchup. In a post on their official Facebook page, the school celebrated the victory, calling the game a “showdown,” and praised the Raiders for staying “locked in,” pushing through challenges, and emerging victorious. They gave a “huge shoutout to our players, coaches, families, and friends for the nonstop support and energy all season.

St. Rita School’s flag-football program has long been a staple of their athletic offerings, with the school participating in the 145-school CYO program under the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The championship win adds to their legacy of competitive successes, underscoring the club’s tradition of strong teamwork, dedicated coaching, and community support. This victory not only highlights the athletic talent and perseverance of the current Raider squad, but also reflects the school’s broader commitment to excellence – both on and off the field.
