Ramona Convent’s Dedicated Book Buddies Club
Ramona Convent Secondary School thanks its dedicated Book Buddies Club members and participants for joining virtual sessions throughout the past year. To close out the school year, Mrs. Aniko Tegtmeier, Director of Library Services, and her team of readers put together a special gift and certificate for each of its Book Buddies from “Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic School” in Montebello. The young readers have received a Reading Medal, Certificate of Recognition, and a Shakey’s Outstanding Reader certificate for a free personal pizza personally delivered by Mrs. Tegtmeier.
“Our Book Buddies Literacy Outreach and Mentoring leadership team this year was amazingly dedicated and enthusiastic. Special thanks to leaders Caitlynne G. ’23, Amanda W. ’23, Audrey A. ’22, and Noemi F. ’22. The OLMM children were bright and adorable. Each book buddies session started with a prayer– often led by a little OLMM student named Isabella, who would say the Lord’s prayer in Spanish for us!” – Mrs. Tegtmeier, Club Moderator
