Sequoyah School Welcomes Rosetta Lee for Community-Wide Dialogue and Learning

Earlier this week, Sequoyah School had the honor of hosting diversity speaker and trainer Rosetta Lee, who met with faculty, parents and guardians, and students across both campuses. As part of the school’s broader focus on constructive dialogue, Lee led engaging sessions on no-joke zones, navigating microaggressions, and strategies for building welcoming and inclusive communities. Pictured above is the workshop she facilitated with faculty, centered on coaching young people toward authentic and respectful dialogue across differences—especially within today’s complex current events landscape.

Since 2004, Lee has served as a nationally recognized diversity speaker and trainer, addressing topics such as cross-cultural communication, identity development, implicit and unconscious bias, gender and sexuality diversity, facilitation skills, affinity groups, and bullying in schools. Her work has reached more than 350 K–12 schools nationwide, as well as over 100 colleges and universities, nonprofits, and businesses.

Sequoyah School is grateful to Rosetta Lee for spending time with its students, parents, and educators, and for helping strengthen the community’s commitment to thoughtful conversation, empathy, and understanding.
