Southwestern Academy’s Astronautics Class Blasting off to Death Valley and Beyond!

Southwestern Academy’s Astronautics class, led by Mr. Angkasa enjoyed a weekend trip to the Deep Space network Museum in Barstow, followed by a visit to Death Valley National Park. During their excursion, they spent 2 nights at the Frunace Creek Campground. They also explored the Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America and the United States, with a depth of 282 ft below sea level! And with all of the rain, there was even water in the lake for the students to walk on!

“What an unforgettable experience!”
