St. Gregory A. & M. Hovsepian School 4th Graders Bring Books to Life Through Creative Reading Project

St. Gregory A. & M. Hovsepian School saw Mrs. Sinapyan’s fourth-grade class wrap up the school year with a creative reading comprehension project that combined literacy, critical thinking, and art. Students read chapter books, took notes, summarized key events, and designed T-shirts that captured the themes, characters, and adventures from their stories. Each shirt became a unique way for students to showcase their understanding and bring their books to life.

The project highlighted the growth students achieved as readers throughout the year. Many gained confidence, strengthened their comprehension skills, and discovered the joy of becoming immersed in a good book. More than just a classroom assignment, the T-shirts served as a colorful reflection of their hard work, creativity, and progress as young readers. A full photo album is available on Facebook.
