City of Roses Blooms Today With Pasadena’s Second Annual Pride Month Celebration Today

The City of Pasadena is set to hold its second annual Pride Month celebration, Love, Loud & Proud!, today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event, taking place at the city hall at 100 N. Garfield Ave, is open to all.

Organized by the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department, the celebration is an anticipated show of the city’s diverse LGBTQ+ community. Attendees can look forward to a variety of entertainment options. 

Music by DJ Keelez from Los Angeles, performances by local drag artists Tia Wanna, Anya K., and Jesse Sangria, and a host of arts & crafts activities, including face painting, are on the schedule. 

Girl Squad Media has prepared a professional photography area, and inflatables, dance contests, and food trucks will add to the festive atmosphere​1​​3​.

The event also provides attendees with the opportunity to interact with representatives from local LGBTQ+ organizations, community partners, and allies. Among these are the San Gabriel Valley LGBTQ Center, Planned Parenthood, PFLAG, Free Mom Hugs SoCal, First Baptist Church of Pasadena Pride Group, Pasadena Tournament of Roses, Pasadena Public Library, Pasadena Police Department, Pasadena Fire Department, Stars: Illuminate. Educate. Advocate., Caltech Center for Inclusion and Diversity, Foothill Family, Armory Center for the Arts, Pasadena Playhouse, and San Gabriel Valley Pride, Inc.
