Old Pasadena has a host of events scheduled for this Halloween weekend and Monday for what promises to be a “frightfully good time for the whole family!”
A half dozen events arte ongoing leading up to Monday, October 31, when from 5 to 8 p.m. you can bring your costumed ghosts and ghoulies to trick-or-treat store-to-store in Old Pasadena.
Dozens of Old Pasadena’s merchants and restaurateurs of have planned to make this a festive evening along Colorado Blvd. and adjacent streets, and are offering treats to costumed children.
Old Pasadena has published an informative Google map for Halloween, where you can simply look for the “Treat Stop” signs, click on each sign, and find out what nearly 100 participating businesses are offering throughout the evening.
Here are just a few of the shops and what they offer on Halloween:
Bearology – 10 percent off on their Halloween drinks: Blood Sucker and Pumpkin Latte.
Boba ChaCha – 10 percent off every cup of Boba.
CTRL Collective – free Daypass at this full-service co-working space, just mention “Old Pasadena Halloween” when you check in. A plus: pet photographer Wren Louis Photography is offering a free digital image (sent by email after the event) to costumed families with their pets in the co-working space.
Medical Weight Loss and Beauty – offering free phentermine diet pills for one month, no obligation. These are FDA approved with free doctor consultation. Also, 50 percent off Botox and fillers aesthetic treatments, and free $80 store credit coupons.
Pure Barre – 20 percent off everything in their retail boutique.
Scotch & Soda – from Oct. 27 to 30, 20 to 30 percent off select Fall/Winter outerwear styles.
Apart from these Halloween specials, here are some of the ongoing events in Old Pasadena:
Halloween at One Colorado, which features some “spook-tacular” Halloween events including pumpkin decorating, trick or treating, movie showing of “Ghostbusters,” balloon animals, and more! Ending Monday, Oct. 31
Haunting of Old Pasadena, an immersive ghost tour that takes you through the vaults located beneath one of the oldest buildings of Pasadena, where haunting events have been said to take place throughout the building’s 130-year history.
If you are brave enough to take the VIP Tour, in addition to “The Haunting of Old Pasadena” tour, you’ll get a chance to sit down and do a Seance with renowned medium Kelsi Davies, who will attempt to connect with the ghosts discussed during the tour.
Due to popular demand, more tours have been added on Thursday, Oct. 27 and November 3rd.
Haunted Pasadena Walking Tour, organized by Pasadena Walking Tours to let you discover the sordid side of the City of Roses. Meet the phantoms that haunt its alleys, underground tunnels, corridors, and back rooms. Unexplained mysteries and dirty dealings pepper Pasadena’s past. Ending on Friday, Oct. 28, with the last tour at 6:30 p.m.
Halloween Art Workshops, presented by the Armory Center for the Arts offering free one-, two-, and three-day Halloween-themed workshops for ages 6 to adults on weekends. Ending Saturday, Oct. 29
Spooky Halloween Events, three spooky-themed events hosted by the Pasadena Senior Center, where ghoulish fun awaits members and nonmembers 50 and older. Ending Friday, Oct. 28
