Lightscape, the international immersive light show, has returned to the LA County Arboretum for winter 2022, following a seven-day stand in Los Angeles. Lightscape is a blend of light, art and music that transforms the Arboretum into an illuminated night experience.

The 90-minute, one-mile walk through the gardens, which opened November 11, features new light installations, on an expanded trail that includes the Arboretum’s Winter Cathedral.

There are numerous separate light installations which run throughout the garden, and range from reflective to inspiring, to overwhelming.

There are dark, twinkling forests seemingly alive with millions of fireflies, along with a brilliant red garden of memorial roses. Walkways come alive with music from hidden speakers as lights dance along the floors. Lakes feature multi-storied structures ablaze with lights and music.

The L.A. Arboretum produces Lightscape in association with Sony Music, which also hosts similar shows in multiple locations across Europe.

Lightscape runs through January 8, 2023, at the  Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, 301 North Baldwin Ave, Arcadia, CA 91007.  (626) 821-3222. www.arboretum.org.
