The Riner Scivally Quartet Featured In ‘Virtual Music At Noon’ Program

Pasadena Presbyterian Church’s “Virtual Music at Noon” series presents The Riner Scivally Quartet from noon to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 7 on “Music at Noon’s” YouTube channel and Facebook page.

The Riner Scivally Quartet performs compelling arrangements of jazz standards and originals.

Guitarist Riner Scivally has performed with Alan Broadbent, Larance Marable, Stacey Rowles and Putter Smith. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Occidental College, a Master of Music degree from USC, and later studied at the Scuola Civica di Milano in Italy.

He is on the faculty of Pasadena City College and the Applied Music faculty of Occidental College. He has recently recorded a CD with Susan Krebs’ Jazz Aviary and has a duo CD with Swiss musician Isla Eckinger.

In the quartet, he performs with Robert Kyle on sax, Putter Smith on bass, and Tim Pleasant on drums.
